BTW, you can get wi-fi cards for non-laptops. And though I know it's not exactly convenient, you could always head over to the Big Broken Box™ for a 'net fix if needed. I'm fully hardwired-capable. :)
i've been thinking about that a lot recently, what it used to be versus what it is, trying to get back in touch with the good things from the bad old days and leave the bad back there somewhere, and maybe leave the present's bad in the past as well, a trade, the bad of today for the good of yesterday.
this time of year, all the living things on the planet die or go hide till it's warm again and we squint our eyes at the grey/black sky and get all kinds of melancholy and put all of our chips on the numbers that make us happiest and bet everything and let it ride.
