What did you do in 2008 that you'd never done before?
Went to a local music festival, worked full-time in an engineering firm, failed a subject, learnt to cartwheel, turned 21.
Did you keep your New Year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Nyet. I tried to keep a diary, and I did... on my shelf, where it was hardly used.
Did anyone close to you give birth?
Hrm.. No.
Did anyone close to you die?
Nope, thank (insert-high-ranking-deity-here).
What countries did you visit?
Haha stayed local in 2008.
What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?
Travel. Someone take me to Japan or Brazil please.
What date from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
Heaps. It was a year of progress and firsts.
What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Getting a job, learning to cartwheel, improving my outlook on life.
What was your biggest failure?
Mechanics of Solids. :(
Did you suffer illness or injury?
A few injuries. I can now move my knees laterally. I also dislocated my right thumb and forefinger and busted the joint sac in that area.
What was the best thing you bought?
Vinyl Chucks, the entire collection of Fables so far,
Whose behavior merited celebration?
Luke Alexander's.
Whose behavior appalled you and made you depressed?
Sarah Palin. ZOMG.
Where did most of your money go?
Books, clothes, shoes, food, books, books, gig tickets, Wii, books, board games, books.
What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Every single gig I went to. British India, The Vines, Homebake etc.
What song/s will always remind you of 2008?
I don't know, there's a lot.

Happier.

Hrm, this is a strange one. Fatter, but fitter.

Slightly richer by a few dollars.

Study, saved more money, ran more kilometers.

How did you be spend Christmas?
Noche Buena with extended family. Christmas Day bbq with family, Luke and some friends.

Yes, with the same person I fell in love with in 2007.

Heroes, still. And Mythbusters. And Top Gear.
Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Yep, can't really say "hate". More like, a toss between apathy and heavy disappointment.. with a sprinkling of disgust.
What was the best book you read?
Comic-wise, probably the entirety of Fables, with focus on the last war. Book-wise, I'd have to say I'm disappointed in Neil Gaiman's new work, or that maybe I'm outgrowing him. Clive Barker's The Great and Secret Show would have to suffice.
What was your greatest musical discovery?
Bluejuice (new local band), oldies Steely Dan and Jethro Tull (weird eh).
What did you want and get?
An interesting job and some money. Trips to the beach.
What did you want and not get?
A road trip.
Favorite film of this year?
The Dark Knight and Iron Man.
What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I was 21, I had a cheap, wild, alcohol-infused, F1-themed barbeque at a local CBD pub with a good friends. I also had terrible photos and excellent memories.
What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Fighting less and passing all subjects.
How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2008?
A mix between casual and curiously experimental.
What kept you sane?
Quality time for myself.

Hrm. Johnny Depp as always.

The hype about Sarah Palin. The onset of terrible economic times to come.

Not a lot of people surprisingly. Maybe a few old friends from overseas.
