Stem Cell uses Embryos?
I thought they only used placenta....

Can someone shed some light on the situation....

The best source of stem cells come from embryos, before the cells have undergone processes that specialize their functions. They offer more possibilities than other more developed cells. Stem cells obtained from other sources, like the umbilical cord and placenta, have less totipotency (the ability to become any cell).

It's true, they prefer using the stem cells from embryos. That's why it's such a controversial topic.
