I suppose not many people read this anymore, and given the infrequent nature of my posts I can't blame them. My last post here got a single response. It was a Russian porn-bot

Man, it's been forever - how have you been?
Also, could I ask you some questions some time about the program you're working with? The one with which I'm involved is very young (got started in September or October) and we've hit a few snags.

I'm doing all right... suuuper busy! But I'll be graduating in May, and will hopefully find a job by then and have a bit more time to do more things! You? You were actually in my dream last night along with a bunch of other Robinson Theatre people, but we were all older.. maybe in our early thirties/late twenties. I only saw you briefly, though, in the background.
I would be happy to do my best to answer your questions! Or find answers I might not know :)
You're right. Trying to learn about someone via their blog is usually like trying to learn about someone by looking over a photo album, i.e. a snapshot taken only every so often, and it's only an image of who they were when they wrote it, and from one side.
I'm glad to hear that you're doing well, and doing good things. Let me know if you need any help with your site or anything. Who were you thinking about hosting with?
Probably Linode. Pretty good prices for pretty complete services, good SLA, and from everything I hear it's pretty painless to upgrade (low migration downtime.)
As for help - I appreciate the offer, but am mainly looking at doing this as a learning opportunity for myself. I have pretty strong skills in some areas (like the database end of things) and pretty weak skills in others (like CSS); I'm taking this as an opportunity to even out my skills and make myself more well-rounded.
That said, if you felt up for a code review at some point, that would be awesome.
I live with four students, though I most often head over to my girlfriend's place in the evenings (she lives with two of my close friends, with who I used to live until I ended up with enough stuff that I needed a basement.)
I work, usually a bit over nine hours a day. Other than that I'm usually around people. Life goes on and I don't always think so hard about it.
The sky around here feels about like what it's been all of my life with only a few exceptions. I'd be inclined to call it average, but it's the average of my experience, rather than the average the world over.

I work with an organization in Philly that runs earn-a-bike programs for kids! Except I work more with their racing team/as an admin. assistant.
Very cool! :)
It's good to hear an update from you.
