This is something I'm posting over in neurotheology too...

You have actually got me extremely interested in Qi-Gong. I've watched a ton of stuff on Youtube on it.
As an occultist, I've always believed in this kind of energy, tho by other names. And I look forward to learning more about Qi-Gong in the future.

Next time we hang out, I'll teach you the meditation I do. We talked about it, but there was significant amounts of beer involved. Also, the only way to properly teach it is to sit down and meditate together.

I find this quite interesting. I'm waiting with baited breath for a mechanism to be found, because surely there can't be this much empirical and anecdotal evidence without the phenomenon being real.

One of my favourite analogies was from a woman talking about reiki or something who described leading physicians before germ theory was widely accepted. They didn't know why cleaning their equipment and hands lead to less infection; they just knew that it worked (though it took some time to catch on since many physicians considered cleanliness to be next to wussiness).

Another analogy I really like is from the wave/particle debate in physics. On a most fundamental level, human beings may not be composed of particles, but of waves, which have the potential to radiate and interact with the waves of other living things...I'm trying to find the link again - I left it in my other computer.
