Couldn't wake up this morning. Had to drag myself to work.
Then I went "ARGH!" when I saw that I was assigned (along with
tarlia and colleague Jaime) to do a boring festive article on Christmas mood and last minute shoppers. Ugh. Hunted some people down to interview in my bumbling manner. Went to watch Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit but loved The Madagascar Penguins in a Christmas Caper (a short animated film shown before Wallace & Gromit) more.

Went "ARGH!" the second time today late afternoon when Vader informed me that I can't accummulate my claim/replacement leaves for next year. I have 5 days worth of leave collected from the past months. This meant that I have to used up all my leave before January 1, 2006! Which, in turn, means I will be on leave for 5 days next week. I had no choice but to take the leave days otherwise it will go to waste. I had originally planned to use those leave days next February. I wasn't looking forward to this leave because 1) I have a lot of work to finish and do, and 2) there is no reason for me to go on leave from work next week since I will still be working at home! Sheesh.
Rushed home to get ready for dinner. Nagging Mom so not helping when I have big headache!
My dog Zag's special Christmas Eve dinner: Friskies Cat's Choice with Tuna. Yes, he ate cat food. Actually he loved it so much that he licked his bowl clean. Serious! So now Dad decides to buy more cat food for him to mix with his usual dog food meals. "Cat food cheaper," Dad said. Zag loves fish and just as long as he never learns to read, he will never know.
"Why so low?" Mom asked when we were in the car, referring to the plunging V-neck top I wore for our Christmas Eve dinner. Geez, Mom, as if I don't know. One thing I love about this top is its flared hemline and soft fabric which hides buldging tummy well. Besides, with all that eating, it hides my overly bloated midsection so well. Great top to wear for buffet dinners and pigging out. My Christmas Eve dinner was at Cafe Majestic for its Japanese Buffet. So it's a blend of Japanese cuisine with some roast turkey, beef and lamb. I didn't eat any turkey...or beef...or lamb... But had some sashimi and yes, my must-eat: Eibiko! Gotta love those prawn roe!
Gave Zag a faux drumstick chew treat before we left for dinner. Since then, he ignored everyone and refused to be friendly. Growled if anyone came too near to him. Like, as if we want to eat his chew treat. Eww... Ungrateful dog!
Anyway, thanks to those who had given me such lovely Christmas presents this year. I hope you-know-who-you-are like the presents I gave you too!
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL
