misanthropic feelings on the upswing + curry breath + sandpaper face + getting all sweaty while rollerskating = a really successful date. date number 2 will be mudwrestling.

having high standards may mean you're alone for longer periods of time, but once something clicks... c'est magnifique!

she picks her nose when she's trying to make other people go away. it's a premeditated nose pick.

i can, but that doesn't mean i'm any good at it. i think rollerskating is more fun if you suck at it. there was a particularly memorable moment when all of the people in our age group (all bound together by friend-of-a-friend connections) held hands in a big sweeping line across the rink, and the person next to me fell down, causing me to go flying off off-balance, at the verge of falling over until i grabbed onto michelle in a big bear hug from behind. everyone clapped. it was the only time that night i would emerge victorious from the perils of gravity.
