uh-oh, i wore white pants before memorial day

Plans for happier futures are in place. I find that about every two years I go through this cycle, where I start slowly getting more and more depressed and stuck in a rut, then I do something drastic and change my life and everything is beautiful and intense again. (I haven't used my livejournal for conveying my recent depression, but it is there ( Read more... )

Are you ever gonna graduate? I know this is your fourth year, and if you were done now you'd be done with college for good, but it just seems like you've been there forever.
All I have to say about it is, get out and DO.

i started evergreen in the fall of '03, then took a leave of absence spring '04 - winter '05. in terms of credits, i'll be a junior once i finish my current class. i feel like i've been here forever though, so i'm trying to make my remaining two years a getting-out and DOing sort of credit-gathering process rather than staying in a cold dark wet small town sort of credit-gathering process.

I didn't realize that you'd started a year late too. Yeah, get out and do stuff, it'll be a lot easier to gauge what you really want if you're not surrounded by the four walls of education anymore.
What did you do in the year after high school? I don't remember, nor do I think I knew in the first place...

"getting out and doing stuff" was the objective of my year between high school and college. i decided i didn't want to do any of the things i did during that time. i went to Dynamy in Worcester, where i did internships in social justice, media, and journalism.
i think we were out of touch during that time, or something...

did i forget to mention that while you're spending time with friends, I'm going to be cage dancing in BT's VIP area at starscape?

yeah... you'll be in oplympia... freeing animals from cages in like petsmart or something.

ALSO I'm working with disabled kids this summer in hopes of saving some part of my soul. I hear they like colours. the autistic ones at least. I hope being gay and excentric and expressionist counts as being a colour.

P.S.
So i think i might dye my hair pink and get a nose ring and chain smoke american spirits in hopes of changing the world... what do you think?

changing the fashion world, you'll be doing nothing.
if you're making fun of evergreen/olympia, you might want to turn your pink hair into dreadlocks as well. nothing brings down The Man faster than pink dreadlocks.
