Trevor and I took our cameras to House on the Rock. It was fun!
Seeing as he was the one to recommend and lend me American Gods, it made sense to take a trip there. Plus, the last time either of us had gone was a long way back, and we both now possessed nicer cameras.
Although I really enjoyed touring the unique and often spooky and surreal rooms, I realized I really prefer taking pictures of people and animals, and not so much objects. My favorite of these are the ones that capture some motion, which I tried hard to do. Sadly, that rather meant that too many in my batch came out blurry - but here are some that I like.
I think the landscaping had vastly improved since the last time I visited. They had some very beautiful gardens.
Old machinery and random spiral staircases and bridges crisscrossed this room. The dreamlike atmosphere was augmented by a couple very large clocks.
Was this a room devoted to glassware? Sort of - it also happened to be a women’s restroom.
Angels watched over the carrousel.
A detail from the top of the carrousel.
And here’s Trevor, looking through his awesome photos.
I have a few more on my flickr page.
