I had the last directed writing today. To my suprise, it was more or less helpful. That wasn't of course until Jaffe spent about 10 minutes telling me the story wasn't workable. Then we came to the consenses that it was workable, it just needed some work. Funny, i thought that was why i brought it to her in the first place

Really, Jaffe has been a big help for you because she made you realize that you cannot take what everyone says as gospel. Now you understand that not everything everyone says about your writing is true. So, even though she was a horrible directed writing instructor, she did teach you something (inadvertently, albeit)
