Don't let them have that power over you to feel bad about yourself, your son loves you no matter what. You are more than just your body, it was really low of your ex to do that to your son, putting him in the position of having to defend you. There's supposed to be unconditional love between parents and children and that's not what that showed. But having it affect you puts your ex in the powerful position he wants to be in and he doesn't deserve it, you're better than that...remember it and hold onto it.
