More with the vampire movies. I wonder if I'll still like them when I get to more contemporary films. This is another silent black and white movie. I liked Nosferatu better. The plot of Vampyr was rather lacking, and the movie wasn't as scary. Still, it was interesting to see another interpretation of the same theme

You know, I'd never connected this before (I don't really know scary/horror movies, even the classics), but when Giles meets Buffy, the very first thing he does is slam that enormous leather-bound "VAMPYR" book on the desk...

Have you ever seen the movie Shadow of the Vampire? It's a retelling of the director who made Nosferatu, I belive. OR something like that. :)

I have. It's a pretty fun film, actually, if you've seen Nosferatu. There is a review for it somewhere in my archives.
