transitions.....
Wow, all of a sudden the summer seems to be flying away; one moment it seems like there are months ahead w/ nothing to do, and then BAM (snowbank! haha) it's August and everything's happening at once! This past week was definitely full of action and, to me, seemed to be almost symbolic of the recent transition from one world to the next

I´m glad that you seem to be doing so well, and have found yourself what sounds like a great place to work at Everest. I know that I haven´t been good about keeping in touch this summer, with traveling about and not having steady computer access.
I went to Segovia for the first time on Monday. Very nice place, and I thought of you! Salamanca is an awesome and incredibly fun place to be, and I have phenomenal Spanish professors.
I am very curious to hear more about the Legion, if you get a chance sometime. I´ve heard a lot of things about them, most recently about an encounter--related by a seminarian from Milwaukee--between the order and Timothy Dolan, the archbishop of Milwaukee, that kind of disturbed me. I also know that they do not have the best of relations with my diocese, so I am very curious to hear what you think.
