Question about E-reader

Dec 19, 2012 21:24

I'm thinking about buying me an E-Reader. However I have no clue which one I should buy. Any suggestions? Is there the possibilty to save my favorite fanfics? If so how will this work? With no I-phone or internet connections while I'm away it would be a neat way to have fanfics with me while travelling.....

fanfic, question, ereader

Do you own any Apple products? iPhone? iPad? If you do, you can save the fics to a document and export them to epub format and read them on the iBooks app (which they come with), or you can save them to PDF and read them on the Kindle app (free). Or you could just go and buy a Kindle and save everything to PDF, import them, and read there. Kindle's proprietary book format is mobipocket.

There is a website that converts posted fic to various formats. So, you can turn fic into a book for the Kindle to read instead of reading in PDF format, if you like. You can find it here:

I have no Apple products at all...
A Kindle is my favorite at the moment. However I wasn't sure if I could read fanfics with it as I noticed that you can't read epubs and there are some problems with pdf and Kindle. Thanks for the link! If I can save the fics to mobipocket it shouldn't be a problem at all :)

Glad I could help. :) My hubby has the Kindle Fire (not the HD one). He likes it, but he's not a power user.
