It's a pity this entry is flocked. A friend of mine is a huge NCIS fan and has just started rewatching season 5. She would have liked it. I gave it a shot a while ago but surrendered after a few episodes. I liked the characters, but the stories bored me. Crime shows are just not my world.
I lock everything by default, but I don't mind unlocking this for a week or so, if you want to send her over. :)
In general, I agree with you. Crime shows aren't usually my thing either. They usually start to feel like you're watching the same plot over and over. But there are a couple of exceptions, and this is one of them. Plus I love the characters enough that they trump any plot issues I might have with an episode.
I've given the link to this entry to my friend and she wanted to comment, but I didn't realise how enormous the file size of each of those pictures is. She's on dial-up, so I presume she just gave up while trying to get them all loaded. If you want to, you can lock the entry again. Sorry about that. :o(
By the way, I gave NCIS a second shot - and I'm already somewhere in the middle of season 3. The same happened to me with "Heroes" (I pity that now; it would have spared me so much frustration about where they were going, but I'm done with that show now anyway.), thus I thought the same could work with NCIS as I really liked most of the characters, especially Abby, McGee, Ducky and Kate. Only Tony drives me crazy, and what I've seen of Ziva so far also doesn't appeal to me that much and makes me miss Kate even more. But there's no character I really, really dislike - and that hardly ever happens. Most of the cases still bore me, but the character interaction is great and makes up for the lack of interesting storylines.
I don't think I'd ever seen him in anything other than Freaky Friday before I started watching NCIS, but I'm definitely a fan now! And I know what you mean... gray hair certainly didn't hurt him any, did it?
I hope it does! That's actually a quote from the show, about it only being like CSI if you're dyslexic, so I think it's probably a fairly common thing. And I'm not a CSI fan either. :)
I know, it's a very under-appreciated show. I did read on Wikipedia that it's one of the very few shows whose viewership has gone up with each year it's been on, rather than down like most shows. I guess last year was the first year it made the top ten, or something?
That's a very cool article. The little show that could. :)
I was watching some of the Veteran's Day marathon of it on USA yesterday and talking with my sister about how NCIS doesn't have that thing where different seasons have a completely different feel to them. The tone has stayed really consistent.
Thanks. My friend has done loads of puppet!people icons so I asked if she could make this for me. And, of course, I had to make sure Abs had her Caf!Pow! :)

I love this picspam. Abby is my favourite as well, although Gibbs is a definite close second :)
