Leverage: A Picspam

Jul 15, 2009 17:46

The second season of Leverage premieres tonight at 9pm eastern and if you get TNT, you should be watching!

Disclaimer: I was hurrying to try to get this posted before the season two premiere tonight, so the coloring is kinda all over the place and I didn't collect as many quotes as I wanted to. But it was fun anyway. :)

I've never seen "Leverage" (you know, me and crime shows, we just don't get along), but I felt the urge to tell you that the colouring looks just fine to me. I'm glad you're not one of those people who think colours can't be bright enough until they burn your eyes out. Looking at your picspams is always visually pleasing.

Thank you for saying that. It makes me feel better about knowing the coloring not at all uniform.

It is fun! Quite witty and amusing, but with a heart too. (And has had two Doctor Who references, so that doesn't hurt either!)

I don't remember if you and I have mentioned it in the past, but I definitely do recommend it. The dialogue is very witty, and the characters are great. All with their own backstories and quirks. And their relationships with each other is pretty great too. It's one of those things where sometimes you can't figure out how it's all unfolding or working out until the very end. And it's just fun, you know?

So what did you think of the premiere ( ... )

I thought the same thing... that it had been written for people who hadn't seen any of last season. Which I guess is okay, as long as it's a one time thing. I rolled my eyes more than once, especially at the end with the little girl and the "wolves in the world" thing again. And yeah, the car flip was AWFUL. We all know that CGI can look better than that, so if you're not going to bother making it look more realistic, just don't bother.

I did like how it ended, though, with them in Nate's apartment. I thought it was going to end with him there in the bar, and that would have been so melodramatic. This way... obvious, yes, but in keeping with the tone with the show.

So yeah, mildly disappointed, but very hopeful. I love the cast and think the writing last year was really strong, so I'm expecting better next week. And Hardison and Parker are almost always the stand-outs in any episode. :) In my opinion, anyway.

Sigh. Are you going to convince me to watch yet another show? Seriously! (Please take special not of the icon.) ;P

I may try it...after summer session is over.
