The Northwest is getting slammed by winter storms - snow, ice, winds. But not us. The warm winds from the south are keeping everything south of Salem above freezing. Shopping at the Cart'em last year, I found the perfect White Elephant gift: an obnoxiously ugly foot tall ceramic pig, painted in garish colors and cracked. I forked over the 25 cents and stashed it away for this year's office Xmas party...

Which was canceled due to weather...
