1. My TMJ is acting up, causing the right side of my jaw not to want to open and close correctly. Chewing is rather mortifyingly uncomfortable at the moment. Wish I had a better strategy for knowing how to ease the joint back into its correct alignment. ow ow ow ( Read more... )

There's a book called Taking Control of TMJ (http://www.amazon.com/Taking-Control-Tmj-Tempromandibular-Fibromyalgia/dp/1572241268/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1267052069&sr=8-1) that might be useful for you. It's a lot about jaw/mouth posture and exercises that can help relieve TMJ flareups and prevent future ones. I got it when I had a particularly painful occurrence (like literally couldn't open my mouth more than about a cm) and it helped a lot.
