It's too bad they are so toxic, because smoke can be so beautiful How are you doing, by the way? Don't forget to treat yourself to good things, like good food, massages, hot baths with lovely scents. Cutting out an addictive substance is very taxing on the body. It has to adjust and change quickly and you may have irratability, insomnia, wierd cravings. I suggest eating a lot of fruit, drink plenty of water, and get out in the sun. It will help the healing process.
When you come here, you get free massage, ok? I will send you some nice things in the mail soon. It might help.
I'm on the patch at the moment, and that's an 8 week wind-down thing, so my body will be weaning off the nicoteine slowly. It's going fine though - i mean, surprisingly well. I'm adjusting quickly to new habits. And things I thought would be uber-hard aren't as hard as I had imagined.
I do, however, have some oral fixation issues still going on. So I'm chewing more gum than usual, and I have tootsie pops around for those moments when I really want to hold something to my mouth. (plus, jesus tootsie pops are yummy!) But really, overall, I'm good. I'm done. I mean, I made this art and that's that - I want it to have meaning, and for that to happen, it has to stay the last cigarette. So it will. It's just... I dunno how to describe. It was an effective strategy on my part to imbue the meaning into something visual and artistic. Since so much value already lies there for me.
So yes - thank you! Congratulations accepted happily. :)
