Age 12 - Any babysitting gigs in the area? Also maybe being a pet sitter? Or advertise @ the local centers (The French-speaking Richelieu International Club comes to mind) & at the town library as a PC or computer tutor for adults.

I love the computer tutoring idea! She'd be better at that than babysitting, still babysitting is well within her potential as well. Good thoughts!

And if you have her write up a plan for how she'll market her stuff (Etsy or tutoring, etc.) and keep a track of how she prices everything - could be used for combined math & social studies work, right? =D

That sounds daunting. How much is the fee? Do you know?

Well, my only experience is that it cost me $20 to list 50 loaves of bread selling at $5 each with $3.50 shipping. Check it out, though.

I think it's an awesome idea.

I'm also in the "pretty dang po" situation but also still eating thanks to a little help from friends & family.

If you're in Nashua, we should get together some time. I'd love to help you out. I've got a wholesale account on a server, so I could provide web space in exchange for a good plug for Just Works...

Wow, I wish you guys were closer - I could totally use a pet sitter! Usually once or twice a month.

Depending on what she's making, you might think about craft fairs too.
