Singing Vodka ...

Oh my god - there really is such a thing. J and F came over last night. J spent a week in Russia recently, and brought us back a beautiful Matroishka doll. It's blue, and its a five piece doll - one of those lovely nesting dolls. It's a symbol of motherhood, health, and beauty. Hmmm ... Quite a lovely gift!

Anyway - he also brought back a big beautiful bottle of vodka, which E promply decided to "read" A nice toast was written on the side - To your health, To your friends, To life, To love, To ... etc. etc. I was quite impressed with his ability to read the foreign alphabet and translate the words. The bottle had a funky cap on it, and when we unscrewed the cap ...

*drumroll*

Music played. Giggles occured. Little Russian voices sang. Bubbles popped. Whistles blew. Gurgling noises. More giggling. Revely played. Whoop Whoop. Giggles. Singing. Music. Gurgling bubbles - Whoop. Eric translated the words "good, good, good, and bottoms up" (or something) from the cartoonish voices. Ta Da!

It was hysterical. That damned cap kept the four of us amused for about 20 minutes. Imagine had we already been drunk? You can see the batteries on the inside of the cap - and it kept doing different things as we'd turn the cap or invert it.

Hysterical. American liquor manufacturers should do something like this!!! I swear - it was worth opening the bottle to hear it. Hysterical.

Well - then we were off to Old Chicago (which according to Chicago native F - should be Old Denver - because no one in Chicago eats like that). Anyway - good food, then to Blockbuster to get some new DVDs - watched Kevin Costner's Dragonfly. Nice story - man has he become a shitty actor.

Anyway - fun fun!

Off to work on wedding invitations today.

Whoop Whoop - gurgle gurgle - Yip yip yip - Wheeeeeeeeee
