last night i dreamed i was trying to steal a castle from a pirate. in the process, i was taken hostage. said pirate was pretty hot, but i wanted her castle more than her. in the process of trying to escape though, i fell on my face into a pile of broken glass. even though i was just on my way out the door and fighting furiously, all of my ( Read more... )

Wow. This would officially freak me out. I have a similar amount of detail in my dreams at well. I'm curious if you were entirely calm during this process of picking the glass out, like it was just something to be done? It sounds like you felt the physical detail minus any pain that would have occurred.

i remember that no one would help me out of squeamishness. i did feel some pain, but it was more akin to getting a splinter of glass stuck in your finger(which is actually what i think inspired the dream - i jammed one in my finger last week or so). the pain was distant, but it was the textures of things; glass and sand and blood, that were most disturbing. it was akin to the recurring dreams i have about my teeth falling apart. so yes, your assessment was accurate.

your turn...recent dreams of note?

and i didn't quite answer your curiosity...i was *quite* uncalm internally because i was in such a state that no one would help me(and that made it worse absent real pain), but at the same time, people(at the time *my enemies*) were awed that i was taking care of myself despite said state, so i took comfort and strength in that.

...analyze away ;)

Wow, the armchair psychologist in me says that this is too easy. ;) If I remember correctly, dreams where your teeth fall out symbolize a fear of losing face; or losing the mask we present to society (be it our close friends or society at large).

If this was an ordeal that your enemies would not help in, but were awe struck by your ability to deal with the situation at hand perhaps leads to an already resolved solution to your issue.

I'm kidding! I'm no dream analyzer, to be sure. My dreams are more just another form of escapism...I'm sure there's room for analysis, but I can barely keep my thoughts straight for crap my conscious state thinks up....let alone my unconscious...

I have two weird ones up already.

Wild.
If i had dreams like this then maybe i would sleep more...

At first i was going to say that this dream sounded sexual in nature- wanting "the castle" more than the woman- then the descriptive touch (i know, painful...) and the word "grinding" sort of did me in, but i think it's an off analysis- i think i just expect people's dreams to be sexual...
