having a new computer is a nice thing. the one i'm replacing is at least six years old. as much as i want to not like Vista, with the hatred of a software tester who had to beta test on it, i can't say that this isn't pretty or isn't performing well compared to its predecessor. and as much as i want to not like semi-tranparency because it's so ( Read more... )

Well now, that's exciting! Have fun.

In your spare time I highly recommend grabbing xbox360's Bioshock, it is soooo for the win.

got the demo but haven't had time to play it yet. that and Mass Effect are going to probably suck up most of my next year...

I am consistently disappointed with so called "legacy" hardware not being supported with Vista. Basically anything built before Vista is old crap and will never fuction properly.

That said, you're still running distributed? :)

yeah, i wouldn't recommend to anyone that they upgrade their current OS unless it's not supported really.

i think i'm going to quite distributed after they break RC5-72...if they ever break it.

My aunt just got a new computer with Vista. Nothing she had before is compatible with it now, so she has to buy new ... everything. It certainly looks nice, though :)

I had Google Earth for a while, but un-installed it because it's such a huge program and I was never using it. Have they improved it over the last couple years?

I used to play Kingdom of Loathing :) Thought it was totally awesome for like, a whole summer (since welfy got me into it) but then the endless mouse clicking finally got to me, and I quit without looking back ;)

yeah, it's pretty, but it's a resource hog...meh - i'm to lazy to install something else right now.

Google Earth is constantly getting better. they keep adding more and more information categories. it's pretty cool...still huge, but cool =)

i know what you mean about all the clicking in KoL...i'm starting to think of my own games to play there so i don't have to click so much ;)
