anyone want to venture guesses about why i get more commentary on useless rambling than pointed thought? do i make my points so well or so poorly? i just can't figure it.

it takes more brain power and time to respond to deeper topics in an appropriate manner. that's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

maybe - i feel like my rambling would take more effort in the deciphering...

Useless rambling is more accessible and doesn't require deep thought on the part of the one replying to you. Plus, I don't want to sound dumb if I completely miss your point. *grin*

'Cause sometimes I have no clue what you mean, and I don't know how to tell you I don't know what you mean.

don't know why i didn't respond to this sooner, but you can say it just like that...better than silence, for sure.

'Bout time I responded to this:

For me, it's because I tend to take "useless rambling" AS pointed thought. At least, "pointed thought up for debate". When Pointed Thought is presented, I find it's generally well-worded and makes a statement that, usually, I don't need to counter or chime in on. It's just there, and it makes sense.

Whereas the ambiguity present in "useless rambling" is much more appealing for exploration. :)
