now, as biased as the film is, and it *is*, said incident makes me wonder...do you really make a case for yourself or your cause if you act as you have been portrayed in order to get said portrayal removed from public view? somehow, "i'm going to kill you if you keep saying my people are terrorist killers" doesn't quite gel with me

Also, it could be said that Islam portrail of westerners is biased, and thus we don;t go into uproar and terrorize Islamic countries? All you have to do is go to any Mosque with a less than moderate leader and you could be in for a shock. Also Christianity and Jewadism is chastised daily in the daily press and government and still there general uproar.....

What worries me is that the terrorist are getting their way. If we all spoke out with out any taboos and with respect, then this would not happen. Out freedoms are been encroached but both terrorist not allowing for freedom of speech, and by our own governments utilizing threat as the reasoning behind we know best what is goo for you and making laws that limit the individuals rights and freedom.

This is the same crap that went on before the Holocaust against the Jews. Demeaning their religion and peoples, just because of a few bad apples, with no real objective other than incitement. If we don't want a repeat of the Holocaust, surely, we don't want a repeat of similar events that led up to it.

Criticizing a religion is not hate mongering. Everything should be questioned and this includes the Q'uran. If we question the supposed life of Jesus, why is Mohhamed and his followers any different?

Here is what I think: If you don't like your religion being scrutinized, start acting like a human that thinks and not like a bunch of crazed animals.

It is time for the Muslims to get over themselves. You and your religion is no more special than anyone or any other religion in the world! The universe doesn't give a shit about you.

It sounds to me as if there's stupid on both sides.

On the one hand, I can understand why Muslims are offended by this. All Muslims are no more terrorists than all Christians are scary Dominionists. The vast majority of them are just ordinary people. I've read writings by quite a few Muslims worldwide ho find the radicals madly frustrating for the damage their actions do to Muslims' and Islam's images.

And on the other, well. Way to make the case that you're not all like that, guys.
