I can already guess a little bit at the interaction that motivated this, and I'm actually already seething. But I'll keep a lid on it, because maybe the story you're going to tell won't be as infuriating as the one I'm imagining in my head.

That is a helpful list. While inspiration should not be discounted planning and organizing are also critical.
