You prettymuch nailed my thoughts on the FMA manga. Did you know they are going to adapt the manga plot into a new anime? Pretty exciting.

I'm not sure about the Bleach manga lately. Spoilers ahead
Ichigo going all second stage hollow form because he died smells terribly strong of Dragonball Z's bad habit of making characters come back twice as powerful after they suffer a horrible defeat. That's kind of the whole theme of all Shounen mangas ( to come back even stronger through willpower alone if nothing else when you are defeated) but I hope it's not going to become the new thing for Bleach going forward.

I liked the anime adeptation of the Turn Back the Pendulum arc, the little things they added like Hirako fighting Tousen etc fleshed it out quite nicely. Not looking forward to the fillers though.

I do know about the new FMA anime. I even mentioned it in the above post. I now know that it is premiering in Japan on April 5th. I'm just wondering if anyone is going to pick up the fan-subbing, like Dattebayo and releasing it for download on the internet for those of us not fortunate enough to get Japanese tv or even know the Japanese language ( ... )

Didnt have an LJ. Just came here through your Deviantart. I browse there a lot. Registered this to reply so you wouldnt think I was somebody you knew. Sorry for the confusion.

I usually watch things on www.animecrazy.net. They're fast with the updates.

If you're hungry for another quality anime try check out Gintama, which is watchable on that site and about a million others. It's a shounen comedy type with a lot of fun characters. It tends to parody pop culture and the gags can be pretty obscure to non japanese, but it's worth it.

If you want an extremely good anime with a serious plot, try watch Gungrave. The first episode is horrible and makes no sense, but after that it's probably one of the best anime ever commited to film. Organized crime mingles with raising the dead, with a very strong friends alienated from eachother subplot that has an excellent climax.

Ah, forgot to mention it. They do the horrible fillers ( the Bount season about killed all the cool in Bleach, damn it was bad) to avoid catching up to the story in the Manga and possibly reaching a point where it's time for a new episode, but no manga chapters are out to draw from. I wouldn't doubt it's to ensure the continuing value of the mangas as well, since the fans will read ahead in the mangas as well as watch the anime, after all.

No fillers in the manga though, because of that.
