My impression from watching the game is that Spain was *acting* injuries as being more severe (and in at least one case faked) than they actually were. Netherlands certainly made some legitimate fouls (or whatever the proper term would be) so I'm not discounting that, but Spain definitely came across as the black hat team to us.
Also, there was an instance where Netherlands gave a throw-in (maybe it was a kick-in, I forget) to the Spanish goalie due to the way the ball went out. That's at least one example of sportsmanship.

Not to discredit your post, but I'm at this point where I feel like I am searching more and more for kindred minds.
My free-roaming mind has found itself akin to ideas and concepts seen by the likes of carl sagan, and people much like him.
I am desperate to find those who have the depth of thought to maybe relate or at least conversate about these topics.
I'm hoping you can offer an insight. Nothing specific. Just your thoughts on the subject.
