if this were a protected entry, i would have written that i wished someone had ever written something like that about myself.
then if this were a protected entry, i wouldn't have to wonder if i haven't fucked up the tenses too much.
and then if someone *did* write something like that about me, i probably would not be as grateful as i should, since people just don't know how to appreciate what they have.
