LOL that line was so not meant to be depressing. It's just what happened to my best friend when he was six years old. But still, glad it extracted an emotional response out of you! Thanks for reading!

this is so beautiful. i really love it ;__; when kyuhyun the shadow disappeared, i became really scared for zhou mi but then he came back, as a human. that made everything better.

“It’s not that I think that I’m worthless. It’s just that if I can’t do good, then I can’t do anything. I like having something to live for. Everybody does.”

He would like to believe that he did these kinds of things for the benefit of others, but in truth he did them for himself. Because he liked feeling real when everything else seemed to lose its tangibility.

these two parts... i love how dependent zhou mi is on his ability to help others. i love zhou mi's characterization here. and very beautifully written as well.

“But you definitely need to let it all out, and trust me, I am one hundred percent psychologist material but free of charge, so hit me.”how you write zhou mi to speak is really bubbly and so cute. full of sunshine^^ and i was so glad when zhou mi talked some sense into kangin. he needed that ( ... )

I wanted Zhou Mi to personify the good guy for selfish reasons kind of deal because I honestly don't believe that people can be totally selfless. But still, Zhou Mi's the closest you can get to it ^^

Thank you for the comment!

This. I love. It's a bitterly sweet when Kyuhyun the shadow leaves, but I really did feel all happy when he came back as the human him.
Your writing is just o_o amazing. I dunno, at a loss for words.
I really love the idea, it's very original, and the way you write, you convey the feelings very well!
"He once had a goldfish that died when he wanted to be a nice person and shared his orange juice. "
I know everyone is talking about this.. but I might as well add myself to the list. This line, it just made me laugh, in a way that it's hilariously sad..
I felt a warm and happy inside while reading this <--weird way to describe it OTL

But keep up the writing, this was really good~!

Kyuhyun's shadow was a metaphor for Zhou Mi's meaning of life, and it had to leave so that he could find his own reason to continue. I'm sure nobody got that while reading this but ehhhhh. Glad you liked this!

Glad it did. I think that killing his fish would be a total Kyuhyun thing to do. ^^
