very long Disney post

Well, it is necessary to vomit all the feelings I am having about Disney right now. For the longest time, I had always believed that Disney was overrated, that it taught girls that happiness is marriage, and that it gave all kids unrealistic views of what life is. I just re-watched some of the movies that I watched as a kid, and dammit, I loved ( Read more... )

I am a Disney kid and I can remember myself and my younger sister repeating The Lion King and The Lion King II everyday. Aside from that, I've also watched almost all -- if not all -- the Disney classics and I've memorized the lines. My most-favorite movies are The Lion King I and II, Lilo & Stitch, Hercules (it's true, greek mythology is so messed up that I was relieved when I look my name up (My name is Athena, also from the greek mythology) and read that Athena is a decent goddess, LOL), Tarzan, and Mulan. I didn't see Mulan in the list, I find it awesome, you should try watching it! ♥

I know, right? It was like reliving my whole childhood again. And I definitely agree, my favorite movies include The Lion King (all three), Tarzan, and Mulan. I haven't had the time to watch all of the other Disney movies I have, so expect another really long post about Disney sometime soon. And on that list will definitely be Mulan - she is probably my favorite heroine because dude, she saved China and nothing trumps saving China. You know a really good but underrated Disney movie, though? Treasure Planet. It is probably my second favorite behind The Lion King. You'll see a massive post about it, trust me lol ^^

Disney movies! Just what I need for a study break :D It's weird because even though I loved these films as a kid, I never appreciated and loved them until now *shrugs* Little Mermaid is my favorite, so I especially enjoyed that section (and while I like Kiss the Girl the most for no particular reason, Part of Your World (Reprise) is just absolutely beautiful) >.< This was a seriously epic and amusing (and happily distracting) post, so thanks so much for writing (uwah, it must've taken quite a while) and have fun re-watching! And as for the non-Lilo and Stitch parts, I hope you're doing well now :) *hugs you*

Ugh, IKR. I hate summer school (my final is in two days), and I needed to let out some steam lol. For me, Disney movies are the best stress relievers besides martial arts. And YES, Kiss The Girl is the most amazing song for romantic settings ever. When I meet the girl of my dreams, I plan on picking her up in my car and playing this song on my stereo as a way of confession.

Look out for more of these kinds of posts from me! So far, I've watched ten Disney movies, and I am planning on writing full and detailed reviews on all of them once my final is over. Hope life is treating you well, too!
