my ceiling is also in the process of falling through b/c of yesterday's rain. i'm pretty sure that the only reason it hasn't completely fallen in is b/c it was painted over with latex paint (or whatever kind of paint it is that has rubber in it), and the paint has stretch by several inches to hold up the sagging bulk.

Our building on Lafayette was doing the exact same thing. I think all the landlords in Fayetteville are secretly slum lords.
