I've never had insomnia before. Sure, there are the AIM conversations that last until 5 in the morning and the all-nighters that occur oh, every week, but I've never had trouble getting to sleep when I truly desired it.

Do you really want to go to Northwestern? Would your life be full of misery, woe, and minimum wage jobs if you didn't? If so, then join NROTC. How much do you have to loose? It's only eight years of service (with four spent in active duty) out of your life. Besides, you join the Navy as an officer and a leader, which you could be good at, seeing how you've done a great job as drum major.

In short, I think you should go for it. You're a good leader and the NROTC will let you study what you want at NU.

PS: Navy's got some good bands too
