Very glad to hear you are unharmed physically and are strong psychically!

But, you know, *hugs* anyway. :)

I thank all of you for your kind words and concern in your LJ posts. They are appreciated. But I shall continue to use the exact same route that I use, I will keep going on as normal, I will keep my head held high and continue to live my life without fear- as I am sure the people of New York, Madrid, Bali and many other places that have suffered from terrorism have done. That's how I feel about it all.

*hugs* Take care!!!!

*Hugs Tightly*

Sebastian, you were the first person that popped into my head the second I heard the news. I'm so relieved to hear that you are okay.

On September 11, Flight 93 flew right over my city and crashed in a Shanksville field just ten minutes later. When a terrorist attack happens so close to where you live you can't help but think, "It could've been me." I respect you for your plan to continue life as usual, and that means that the terrorists didn't win. Stay strong, but if you need a friend, you know where I am.

Especially during the earliest hours after an attack that involves multiple sites/phases, when information is scarce but fear is high, you can't help but wonder "what if?"

On 9/11 Mr. B had to go out and see people at a government life science facility and rumors were flying about additional D.C. area targets after the Pentagon incident. I was really in a state (and that doesn't happen to me often) and called him (it took forever to get through) to insist he come right home. I found out I was pregnant the next day.

Somebody he knew from college was in one of the upper floors of the WTC. And ex-boyfriend of mine was a firefighter on the scene at the Pentagon. My sister-in-law was originally booked on one of the same transcontinental flights that was hijacked, just a different day.

But, there you are Sebastian, IN the city contemplating your familiarity with the targets and you must feel not just that this was close to home, but it IS home. I've thought of you and others all day and will continue to do so.

This may sound harsh. It is not aimed at you, AK, but it is somewhat aimed at your argument, which is actually quite common. This isn't intended as an "I told you so" or really a start of a debate, but I do want to simply give a point of view from the other side of the political fence. I'm doing so because I *don't* want this turning into Bush or American bashing ( ... )
