You attended Hogwarts as well? It must have been just before I began, as I don't seem to remember. In any case, I didn't have access to this kind of class in my time, either. Fortunately legal careers run in my family.
Ah, Pre-Auror Studies? I wouldn't be surprised if we have some student overlap or, at the very least, I'll be teaching my students how to cooperate with yours in the future.
I finished Hogwarts about fifteen years ago, a Gryffindor. And Auror careers run in my family, so we both have family legacies to follow, huh?
We'll actually be discussing Auror court appearances and testifying on cases. Maybe we could collaborate for our year 6 students to participate in some kind of mock trial?
That explains it. I entered around two years after that. And yes, I'm following a family legacy, with all the blessings and curses that entails.
That sounds ideal, especially since the entirety of my experience is in prosecution and my class will be focusing more on that side of our legal system. Let's keep in touch.
She had a very appealing suggestion for a combined class mock trial which would allow our students to appreciate the necessary bond between Aurors and the court. I'd be interested in such a thing if you are.
Prosecution. At this point I've served in countless lower trials, as well as an increasing number of a... more serious nature, in the Wizengamot.
Indeed! A new study track for our sixth and seventh-years could only be beneficial. *smirk, can imagine PANIC from all the kids who suddenly need to take an extra class*
In any case, welcome to Hogwarts. I'm Professor Bainbridge, the Ancient Runes teacher. I suppose if there is a Magical Law II professor.... *reading comments* ..Ah, I see you've already met.
Yes, I'm quite pleased to be able to teach this subject. It will be interesting to see how many pursue legal careers. It would be interesting to meet my former students in the Wizengamot someday. Whether or not I teach them enough to best me in court is another matter.
It's a pleasure to meet you, Professor Bainbridge. And oh yes, we've met. Wright and I have something of a history.

Likewise. ...Have you now? From your Hogwarts days?
[[Apologies for late comment. ^^;]]

Yes, though we were in separate Houses. We knew each other briefly before Hogwarts as well, even though he's a Muggleborn.
