The library I go to is holding it's tenth annual poetry contest. I am struggling with the decision to enter or not.

I hate to feel useless and talentless and pointless...but I hate having what little hopes I can muster these days getting dashed, too.

I can understand the struggle... hate entering contests and feeling let down so I usually just don't. But I think your work is certainly worth a win and... might be fun to try.

Enter the contest, knowing your stuff is the best and that if you don't win they are all commie bastards who wouldn't know poetry if they tripped and fell face first into it. :)
