Loyalty breads loyalty. Giving that 150% will get you taken advantage of most of the time. But it will also win you the same loyalty from some. If you are as hard to be with as you say, you may need that loyalty. If you want to be the most important person in someones life, that will bring it to you. It just takes time.
I don't know much kid, but this I know.
