This Week's Sopranos recap...

So Tony is up and about, continuing to get better. He's shuffling around the hospital, making friends with the other patients on his floor, two of which include an elderly sage scientist and a spunky rapper who was shot, still he can't help feeling he isn't himself. He's also scheduled for a final surgery to close up that hole in his stomach.

Some of Janice's old friends visit Tony the night before and ask him to accept Jesus as his savior. Tony humors them and prays with then, much to Carmela's delight. Later on in the episode, when Carmela gives Tony a dinosaur book, the same guys tell Tony, "Dinosaurs walked the Earth the same time humans did. Don't believe the evil evolutions!" Tony asks, "What about carbon dating and all that stuff?" to which they reply, "That's the devil's lie." Whatever…

So the owner of Barone sanitation dies, and his son Jason has to take over -- only he doesn’t know that the business is front for the mob and why Tony is on payroll. He has no idea what his family business really entails or why Tony Soprano is on payroll and yet is never there. So he talks with Paulie, who also "works" at Barone and tells him he's selling the business to some guy named Cicelli or something. Paulie takes him the hospital to see Tony. Tony tells Jason not to sell, and that is "a different corporate culture." He'll take care of it.

Meanwhile, Paulie's Aunt Dottie, who is a nun, is dying so he goes to her death bed, where she spills the beans. She is actually Paulie's mother, and the woman who he thought was his mother is his aunt. She had a fling with a GI, got pregnant and gave baby Paulie to his sister to raise. Dottie then became a nun. Paulie goes completely nuts. He calls his mother a whore, doesn't go to her funeral and then tells his mother/aunt -- the woman who raised him -- her meal ticket is closed. He calls her a liar, a thief, and throws her flat screen TV out the window. She is crying saying she loves him and he says too bad and leaves the nursing home.

So back at the hospital, the rapper who was shot finds out that his shooting is boosting his CD sales. A friend of his named Marvin, who is also a rapper, says, "Now that Da Lux has been shot, he'll be too busy to help me with my record." Bobby overhears him and says, "Maybe if you got shot you'd get some street cred and everyone would buy your record?" Marvin dismisses Bobby's idea, but later on we see him handing Bobby a wad of crash saying, "Are you sure you know what you're doing?" to which Bobby replied, "I'm a marksman. I'll shoot you in the fleshy part of the thigh. It'll be O.K."

Tony sets up a meeting with Phil in which he accuses Phil and Johnny Sacks of trying to "poach his company" Tony is pissed because he needs to stay on the Barone payroll for the W-2 and health insurance, so he tells Phil he WILL stay on the payroll and get 25% of the sale. Phil will talk to Johnny. Johnny Sack counter offers by telling Tony he'll stay on payroll two year, and get 5% and a new car. Tony sends Paulie to try to straighten out the situation. To try to straighten out the situation, Paulie and another guy, go visit Jason and tell him that Tony's take is going to come out of his profits. Jason is scared, so he tries to end the sale with Cicelli. Cicelli basically tells him to go piss up a flagpole and the that the sale WILL continue. This does not make Tony happy. He goes off on Jason, which makes Jason's mother hysterical. She visits Tony at the hospital telling him that Jason is a good boy, knows nothing of the real family business and meant no disrespect. She pleads with Tony not to hurt him. Tony says he has his word that nothing will happen to Jason. Paulie is all pissed off seeing what a mother's love is capable of, since he feels he was betrayed by his.

Tony's second surgery was success and he is able to go home. As he is being wheeled out the parking lot, Tony looks loving at his sister Janice and says, "Every day is a gift!", she replies, "Uh...yeah. I gotta go get the car!"

Phil finally gives Tony a final offer and says he keeps his paycheck, W-2 and insurance for 10 years and gets 12% of the sale -- but no skim or kick backs. Tony says that's fine, but Paulie is pissed because it means he's out of skim. Still being pissed off at Jason for having a loving mother, he beats Jason in the knee with a pipe and tells Jason he has to give him $4000 a month, and if Tony ever finds out about this he'll be in big trouble.
