hmmm i think Charlie is the type of guy who wants things easy. Its common knowledge that the beginning of a relationship is easy b/c its when you just hang out and dont fight...but once you get closer...you need to fight sometimes to work things out...and i think he's just not man enough to make something work but instead goes and finds the easy hangout thing again

Yeah, that's exactly what I think too. You're not second-best, adn he'd really rather be with you, but he's not up to the challenge of a real relationship with fights and makeups. But you'vs GOT to stop talking to him. You can't stay friends when he makes you feel like this. It's not healthy, no matter how much you want to keep him in your life.

Just take it from me. The whole "just friends" thing is going to make it soooo much harder on you than you can imagine. If you want to feel better, you can't communicate anymore. Trust me, I know from experience.
