Ah! Excellent! Sounds like a you had great weekend, and I'm so glad to hear things are going so well. :)
Out of curiosity--there are different licenses for driving manual cars vs automatic ones? We don't have that here--we've just got one generic license. It makes sense, though--no way you'd want to put me in a manual car. I'm 43 and I've never driven one.
The manual/ auto differential really only matters whilst we are on our provisional license which is 3-4 years, after that you can drive whatever you want, however in my experience its only those who initially tested for a manual license that change it up. We also have things like 120 driving hour log books that learners need to complete before they are eligible for their license and passenger and type of car restrictions for the average new driver. The first three rules don't apply to me, I'm not sure about the third but its a moot point since I have a little 4 cylinder. Upon reflection its really very regulated LOL.
Yep, in Oz you cannot drive a manual car unless you have been tested in a manual and have manual on your licence. You can then drive both a manual and an automatic. I drive an automatic but I have a manual licence :D
Hi there :) I;m a journalist, and just happened to stubble on your blog. I was looking into writing a feature story about depression and anxiety, and it would be great to voice your cause out there which can give people an understanding about what you are going through. If you are interested don't hesitate to reply :)
It sounds like you have done quite a bit of work on your own and have been fortunate to have a driving instructor who can appreciate how much you have grown. Congratulations.
I'm so happy that you had a great weekend and that things are going so well for you. I love the discussion you've started over difference in licenses, it's fun to see.
