“He’s breaking down your walls.”
Jasper blinked and turned to look at Rosalie. “What?”
Rosalie nodded toward where Seth slept on the couch. “For years you’ve had layers and layers of walls built all around you. Since Seth came into your life, he’s been slowly chipping away at those walls.”
“I don-”
Rosalie shook her head. “That would be a lie.”
Jasper sighed and turned back to look at Seth. He knew Rosalie was right. Why else would he stand here and watch over Seth whenever he stayed over?
“Are you so afraid to be happy?”
“I love Alice, Rose. She makes me happy.”
“And so does Seth.”
“You don’t even like the shifters! Why are you defending him?” Jasper hissed.
Rosalie shrugged. “There’s something special about Seth.” With that she turned and walked upstairs. Jasper sighed and ran a hand through his hair. Rosalie was right. There was something special about Seth… he just didn’t know what yet.
