"Hey," I say to him when I'm close enough for him to hear me. "Feeling better, I hope?" I figure he wouldn't be anywhere near the dorms if he was still getting too many voices. "I can show you where Dawn's room is, if you want."

"I'm feeling much better, thank you. Uh - I can come back later if you needed to finish some homework?" It was an honest question, I haven't caught a flash of her inner voice yet... but not really wanting to, either. This must be what normalcy is.

"And in the spirit of friendship, can I ask you to do something for me?" I know I shouldn't ask, she's done enough already. And the parcel under one arm says that I'm bribing her in some way and maybe I am, but I can't exactly ask Dawn for this... not really.
