Sorry I don't understand dreamwidth, so I'll just comment here:

This is a really great start to an interesting concept. I like that Zuko's seriousness and Aang's playfulness come out in such small scenes. I'm curious as to how Zuko ended up in the South Pole when it sounds like he didn't run away.

I also like that Aang is still wanting to find the Avatar (and I assume capture him as well). I would definitely be interested if you continued this.

Thank you. Zuko was on the way to his new home when disaster struck (either the same storm as in canon or the Fire Nation). He and Appa barely escaped and ended up almost drowning, as canon.

If I participate in this challenge again, I will probably continue with this universe.

You know, I saw an fanfic thread with this premise which always looked neat. Interesting to see someone actually writing it*, only thing that makes me sad is this isn't far enough along to really see the difference between your vision and the on sketched out there.

I'm sure Iroh and the crew appreciate the differences so much. Aang is likely much more enthusiastic about music night and Iroh's shopping trips.
What would Sokka call Prince Aang, since he obviously isn't a Jerk? He'd likely find all of his good cheer Ty Lee level disturbing.

Yeah, Aang is much more enthusiastic. The instant I thought of this universe, I started picturing that scene with the tsungi horn and how differently Aang would react. At the very least, it prevents that one almost!mutiny, though I'm not sure it changes the crew's behavior that much in the end.
