I'm actually seeing a lot of Toph. She did everything she could to please her parents, and consequently, her instructors/adults in general, but when she snuck out and was around a different audience, tended to be bossy yet reserved. She does tend to speak in short sentences, got very upset and refused to even talk to Aang after he beat her, and fits most of your "or" responses. She is loved by her parents, even if they go about showing it the wrong way, and while she's a bit reluctant at first, she eventually joins Aang primarily for the adventure aspect.

Zuko. The eagerness to please really had me thinking of him from the start, and your answer to the "would you honestly join Aang?" question made me think of him as well.
