What I gave was a Christmas gift from my family to yours. No need to return a gift :-)

I didn't know that 2006 was the Year of the Dog. How cool is that!

Hmm - the sum up of the shrine is kind of a place of faith - a grove where I will have talismans, stones that appeal to me, wind chimes - not to a specific deity actually, though if any friends want to add things to the shrine, that would be awesome. I will also include something in memory of the people who owned this house before us.

biff_rocko used to teach me, perkal and a bunch of kids in his families neighborhood martial arts. Me and perkal ended up helping with the teaching eventually and it was pretty keen. biff wants to build a dojo so we can do something similar again and share it with others of our friends. We're going to make it with sprung floors so suibhne can use it as a dance studio too. It's going to be pretty big - in the woods between our fence and the creek. It should be really cool!
