poetry - lost and found

I hid my mouth
Behind cold hands
They gave no kiss
No speech divine

I closed my eyes
My lying eyes
I’d leave them closed
No lies to see

I hid my soul
My weary soul
No solace dwelled
In that empty place

I held my hands
So tight they hurt
And bound my eyes
To stop the tears

My voice it carried
Through music high and low
My voice it cried
Though only very softly

I dreamed my dreams
And let them fade
I found no sleep
To ease my mind

My hands they danced
Through colors bright
Finding light
In all the darkness

I looked in eyes
As bright as skies
And found a dream
As pure as dreams

I heard a voice
As sweet as thunder
I felt it whisper
I touched it’s breath

I found no way
To find my wings
I found no way
To heavens gate

I stood on ground
And felt it bind me
I stood unbound
And felt the loss

I found a riddle
With no answer
I found a question
Without end

When faith it falls
and hearts do falter
when wings can't fly
where is heaven then?
