Okay - vampire hunter D. They have cyborg horses. They also have occasional heavy transport. Why are the horses cyborgs? Either tell me the answer or make up a good one. Been trying to figure this out. Are they old tech? What happened to real horses? May be more randomness later

Once upon a time, there were no horses, because all the horses were actually unicorns. They frolicked and they were happy, and had all the sweet grass they could eat and all the warm sunshine to lounge in. They were magical creatures, strong and swift, and the people loved them because the unicorns were intelligent creatures that could carry the burdens and did so willingly ( ... )

there are some things they don't really cover in the movie that they do cover in the books. in this case, the matter of cybernetic horses ( ... )

That's pretty neat - I love the implied back story of D and the world - Need to grab the novels. Weird that I haven't heard of them i'm surrounded by comic readers

in some ways I like the movies more, but the books give a lot of insight in the world and what it was like when the Nobles ruled. its very neat. they aren't incredibly thick novels with a few black and white amano illustrations. i know for a fact they have three out right now. the first one is what the first movie is based on and the third is what Blood Lust is based on.
