Ferret!

I think this actually works when you search on google so I'm trying it! Suibhne found a ferret in her garage and it is sweet and tame and probably missed by someone! It's currently hanging at my house - hoping that an ad here will be picked up by google searches

I have heard of people doing it, but never heard it first hand. That is to say that I have never heard a friend say it happened to them, usually it's that they know someone it happened to directly or indirectly.

With an unusual and expensive animal like a ferret I could see how someone might take it even though it's not theirs. Good luck finding it's Human companion!

You may also want to try AnimalShelter.org. They will take in a lost pet, advertise that a pet has been found and list it, even ferrets.

Check out their FAQ-- it's a good way to figure out what to do in order to get pets back to their owners. I know of several people who would check websites like these daily for their lost pets.

call your local animal control to report it found...people can call there to report it missing as well, found a dog last month and reported it to AC and the owners had already reported her missing = Happy Tails for all!

You might want to see if he's microchipped. Both my cats are, and that would solve the problem if he is. :-)
