The day after Roger meets her family, Mimi leaves the bar for an OB-GYN appointment, telling Roger she'll be back in two hours, tops.

The two hours pass with no sign of her.

Those two hours are followed by another ten, and still Mimi hasn't shown.

It -could- just be a matter of her not finding a door back.

Right?

But Roger, being Roger, is going to assume the worst. And get a little panicky.

After twelve hours, he decides it's time to find Collins or Angel to open the door for him. If Mimi's not going to come back... he's fucking going to find her. And so he stalks down to the bar, searching for either a drag queen or a certain anarchist, and looking extremely agitated.

He gets the anarchist, who's sitting at a table grading papers (and looking like he'd rather be doing anything else).

When Collins hears Roger's rather loud approach, he looks up, raising an eyebrow silently.

Over the years, that look has made more than one of his students shut up and behave for the rest of the term.

Roger is not one of Collins' students, and it would take a lot more than that to frighten him (or make him behave, for that matter). He stops beside Collins' table, leaning against it with both hands spread flat on the tabletop.

"I need you to open the door for me."

"Oh?"

Collins is already rising.

"What's wrong?"
