Mimi is upset.

Actually, Mimi is mad as hell.

This would be the reason why, upon returning to her apartment after a brief trip to the bar, she slams the door loudly behind her, cursing in a combination of Spanish and English.

She has a very impressive repetoire of curses.

Roger blinks repeatedly - he hasn't left Mimi's apartment since he got here before, doesn't quite want to go back to the bar yet.

And seeing Mimi this mad is... startling to say the least, but at least he can't think of anything he could have done to upset her, so she's not mad at him this time. Hopefully.

No, it's definitely not directed at Roger.

She's raving about somebody being closed-minded, and that is certainly not one of Roger's besetting sins.

There's a delicate glass pitcher sitting on the kitchen counter, and Mimi, as she goes past it, grabs it by the handle and hurls it into the wall.

My, that's a satisfying shattering noise. Let's do that again with a few glasses.

Hearing that, Roger slowly walks into the kitchen, stopping abruptly as he sees the shattered pitcher and eyeing both it and Mimi with a good deal of uncertainty. This look of uncertainty increases as he watches her shatter a couple of glasses.

"Um. Mimi? Are you... um... What's going on?"

Mimi wheels on him, her eyes dark with fury.

"I'll tell you what's wrong," she spits, furiously. "Angel's parents threw him out of the house when he was 16 for being gay - and the other day they tried to get him to come home because they think they can fix him. Like it's a disease!"
